News Video Maker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
News Video Maker ("the app") is made by AKS Technologies, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Phone number | To sign you in (a one-time code by SMS) and to keep your account safe. |
| Your name and channel name | Shown in the app, and used to help you if you contact support. |
| Device details: phone model, Android / iOS version, app version, when the app was last used | To show you which phones use your account, to stop misuse of a subscription, and to fix problems on particular phones. |
| Usage counts: how many videos you exported, their total length, which templates you used, when you last exported | To improve the templates and the app. These are numbers only — never the videos themselves. |
| Subscription and trial status | To know which features you can use. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card or bank details. |
2. What stays on your phone
The videos, photos, music, voice recordings and projects you use in the app, your channel logo, and the live-stream keys you save for Go Live are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app removes them, unless you saved finished videos to your phone's gallery.
3. Camera, microphone and photos
The app asks for the camera and microphone only for recording and for Go Live, and for your photos and videos only to let you pick them for your projects and to save finished videos. You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
4. Go Live
When you go live, the video goes directly from your phone to the service you chose (for example Facebook), using the stream key you entered. It does not pass through our servers. That service's own privacy policy applies to what you broadcast there.
5. Support logs
The app keeps a small technical log on your phone (for example "video exported in 19 seconds"). It is sent to us only if you choose "Send log to support", and you pick how to send it.
6. Who processes the information
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) — stores your account and the details above, on Google Cloud.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — handle subscriptions and payments.
- RevenueCat — checks the status of your subscription with Apple and Google.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example for tax).
8. Your choices and rights
- See and change your name and channel name in the app (Account).
- Delete your account and its information: in the app, Account → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or to correct it, by writing to us (below).
These rights are provided under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and apply wherever you live.
9. Children
The app is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Security
Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls on Google Cloud. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
