Bulletin Studio — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Bulletin Studio ("the app") is made by AKS Technologies, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Phone number | To sign you in (a one-time code by SMS) and keep your account safe. |
| Your name and channel name | Shown in the app and on your videos where you choose, and used to help you when you contact support. |
| Device details: phone model, Android / iOS version, app version, an ID the app makes for this phone, when the app was last open | To let an account be used on one phone at a time, to stop misuse of a subscription, and to fix problems on particular phones. |
| App activity: events such as signing up, starting a video, exporting, posting, going live, and failures — with the time, phone type and app version. When something fails, the end of the app's technical log is added. | To find and fix problems and to improve the app. The log never contains your videos, photos or the words you type. |
| Usage counts: videos exported, their length, templates used | To improve the templates and the app. These are numbers only. |
| Subscription and trial status | To know which features you can use. Payments are made through Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card or bank details. |
| App usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase): screens used, events, an app-instance ID, rough location from the network (country/region) | To understand how the app is used, in total. We do not use it to identify you. |
| Advertising ID and ad interactions (free plan only, Google AdMob) | To show ads that keep the free plan free, and to measure them. See section 5. |
2. What stays on your phone
The videos, photos, music, voice recordings and projects you use in the app, your channel logo, your own templates, and the live-stream keys you save for Go Live are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app removes them, unless you saved finished videos to your phone's gallery.
3. Camera, microphone and photos
The app asks for the camera and microphone only for recording (for example the anchor video and voice-overs) and for Go Live, and for your photos and videos only to let you pick them for your projects and to save finished videos. You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
4. Features that send something when you use them
Captions
When you tap Make captions, the sound of your video's speech is sent, in short pieces, to our server and to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, which returns the words heard. We do not keep the sound or the words; we keep only how many seconds you used each day, to limit use.
AI voices
When you make a voice-over with one of the app's natural voices, the words you typed are sent to our server and to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, and the sound comes back to your phone. We do not keep the words; we keep only how many letters you used each day. The phone's own voices work without sending anything.
YouTube
If you choose Connect YouTube, you sign in with Google on Google's own screen and allow the app to manage your YouTube channel. The app uses this only when you tap Post to YouTube (to upload the video you made, with the title and description you see) or Go Live on YouTube (to create and start the live broadcast). It reads your channel's name and picture to show which channel is connected. Google's sign-in is kept on your phone; nothing from your YouTube account is sent to our servers.
Bulletin Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's use of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Tap Disconnect YouTube in the app (Account), or remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Go Live, Facebook and Instagram
When you go live, the video goes directly from your phone to the service you chose (Facebook, YouTube, or another service with your stream key). It does not pass through our servers. That service's own privacy policy applies to what you broadcast there.
If you choose Connect Facebook, you log in on Facebook's own page and choose which Pages (and linked Instagram accounts) the app may use. The app reads only those Pages' names and pictures, and acts only when you tap Post or Go Live: to upload the video you made, with the title and description you see, or to start a live video on a Page or, if you allowed it, on your own profile. It never posts on its own and never reads your messages, friends or timeline. Facebook's permission is kept on your phone, in its secure storage; to keep you connected for up to 60 days our server exchanges it once for a longer one, without keeping a copy. Tap Disconnect Facebook in the app (Account), or remove the app in Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations.
5. Ads
If the free plan is offered, the app shows ads from Google AdMob to free-plan users (Pro subscribers see no ads). Google may use your phone's advertising ID and information about the ads you see to choose and measure ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app asks for your consent first. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). See how Google uses information in ads.
6. Support logs
The app keeps a small technical log on your phone (for example "video exported in 19 seconds"). It is sent to us only if you tap Share log (Account) and choose how to send it, or, in part, when something fails (section 1).
7. Who processes the information
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Google Analytics for Firebase) — stores your account and the details above, on Google Cloud.
- Google AdMob — shows ads on the free plan.
- Google Cloud Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech — captions and natural voices, only when you use them.
- Google / YouTube — only if you connect YouTube: receives the videos you choose to post and your lives.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram) — only if you connect Facebook: receives the videos you choose to post and your lives.
- Google Play / Apple App Store and RevenueCat — handle subscriptions and check their status.
We do not sell your information.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account information and app activity records while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example payment records for tax).
9. Your choices and rights
- See and change your name and channel name in the app (Account).
- Delete your account and its information: in the app, Account → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or to correct it, by writing to us (below).
These rights are provided under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and apply wherever you live.
10. Children
The app is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Security
Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls on Google Cloud. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
